Bloomfield Families, We will operate on a one hour delay schedule tomorrow, January 14. Many backroads have yet to be cleared and other roads may refreeze with low temperatures expected overnight. We want to allow buses and drivers to navigate the roads in daylight hours for safe travel. Thank you for your flexibility.

Bloomfield Schools will operate on a two hour delay tomorrow, January 13. While many roads are improving, some may refreeze overnight as temperatures drop. The delay allows sunlight to improve road conditions for safer travel for our buses and drivers. Thank you for your understanding and stay safe!

Bloomfield Families, As the forecast continues to develop we are switching to a synchronous e-learning day tomorrow out of an abundance of caution. While the snow is predicted to come after school begins, we do not want to be sending students home on slick roads. Thank you for your support and understanding.

Bloomfield Schools will stay on time tomorrow. The forecast shows that light snow is expected near noon with accumulation happening in the afternoon and evening. We'll monitor conditions and if necessary, dismiss early. If weather worsens overnight, we may transition to e-learning. Updated messages will come as needed.

Bloomfield Families, The road conditions have continued to improve and we are thankful for the road crews. As of right now, we are planning for a two hour delay but with dropping temperatures overnight may have to reconsider. Bus drivers may contact some families about alternative pickup options for certain areas.

A challenge coin is a small coin or medallion that symbolizes membership, belonging, and camaraderie. It can also be used to recognize achievements, dedication, or exemplary service. Challenge coins are often associated with the military, but they are also used by law enforcement, firefighters, and other organizations. On behalf of the Bloomfield School District Police Department, I would like to congratulate and thank Mr. Max Zitterman on his selflessness and helping a fellow student out during lunch. Mr. Zitterman demonstrated "INTEGRITY" Doing the right thing, even though no one is watching; quality of being honest and having strong moral principles: moral uprightness. Mr. Zitterman received a Bloomfield School District Police Department Challenge Coin and a certificate for a free Jr. Frosty.

Dear Families, As we have continued to investigate the social media post and law enforcement agencies have worked together. Law enforcement have been able to verify the post originated in Vigo County where an arrest was made. Law enforcement has determined this is not a threat to Bloomfield Schools. Dr. Scott Van Der Aa
