Bloomfield Schools will operate on a two hour delay schedule February 20. With poor road conditions on many county roads, and the prediction of snow being added to the roads, we want to ensure drivers arrive safely. We will be checking the roads again in the morning to determine if a change is needed.

Bloomfield Families, As the forecast continues to develop we are switching to a synchronous e-learning day tomorrow out of an abundance of caution. While the snow is predicted to come after school begins, we do not want to be sending students home on slick roads. Thank you for your support and understanding. Students will be expected to join Google Meet for classes for direct instruction with teachers. Students can ask questions during the Google Meet or email from 1 - 3 PM. If students have trouble accessing the Google Meet, they should email the teacher for that class. 9:00 - 9:25 am Period 1 9:30 - 9:55 am Period 2 10:00 - 10:25 am Period 3 10:30 - 10:55 am Period 4 11:00 - 11:25 am Period 5 11:30 - 11:55 am Period 6 12:00 - 12:30 PM Period 7

Staff Member of the Week - 08.16.2024 Jerry Rowe has been an essential contributor to the success of our custodial team since joining our school district in the Fall of 2023. He stepped up during a critical staffing shortage and has since demonstrated an exceptional work ethic and unwavering commitment to his duties. Jerry never complains and consistently takes initiative, ensuring that tasks are handled promptly and efficiently. His shift begins at the end of the school day, focusing primarily on the lower A hallway in the high school. However, he is always willing to lend a hand wherever needed, and before leaving, he checks in with his co-workers to offer assistance. Jerry has fostered strong, positive relationships with both staff and students, and his contagious smile and genuine spirit of service truly embody the qualities we value. He is an all-around great person to work with, making him an outstanding candidate for this recognition. We are deeply grateful for his integrity and the positive impact he continues to make in our community. We sincerely thank Habig Injury Law for partnering with BSD to recognize and reward our Staff Members of the Week. Pictured here are Superintendent Dr. Van Der Aa, Tim Cochren (Partner at Habig Law), Jerry Rowe, and Jonas Johnson (Custodial Director).
