Welcome to Bloomfield School District's Guidance Page Mission Statement
Our District-wide mission is to provide students and their support systems both in and outside of school with the skills necessary to be successful academically and socially, and in their future careers. We believe that the acquisition of those skills is necessary to lead a fulfilling and productive life. As licensed school counselors, we are available for individual, small group, and/or large group counseling and guidance activites. We will advocate for individual and systematic change. We will facilitate communication between students, parents or guardians, faculty, and administrators. We are here to serve the needs of students individually and collectively. Upcoming Events/Notices Parents/Guardians: The following dates are windows for important standardized testing. Each grade level will have specific dates for testing. Please avoid scheduling appointments during these windows of testing. Applied Skills ISTEP+ for Grades 3-9: March 4-13, 2013 I-READ (3rd Graders): March 18-19, 2013 Multiple Choice ISTEP+/IMAST Window for Grades 3-8: April 29, 2013-May 10, 2013 Algebra I, Biology I, and English 10 ISTEP+ end-of-course assessments: Biology: May1, 2013 (Tentative) English 10: May 9, 2013 (Tentative) Algebra I: May 15, 2013 (Tentative) AP Calculus Exam: May 8, 2012, at 8:00 a.m. (Firm) SAT: Register for the SAT at www.collegeboard.org. Remember, you must login to your "My Organizer", if you have registered on a prior ocassion. If you attempt to establish another account, it will not be succesful. You will need to call College Board to "fix" the issue. If you can not recall your username and/or password, click on the "Forgot user name?" or "Forgot password?" links in the My Organizer login box to have the appropriate links sent to your registered e-mail account. ACT: Register for the ACT at www.actstudent.org. You must establish an account to register for the ACT.
